Aynsley Place Husand and Wife Volunteers Win Volunteer Award
Aynsley Place is pleased to announce a special award presented to two of the facility's volunteers. Leigh and Bill Mullen received The Joseph D. Vaughan Award from the joint committee of EngAGING NH and the NH State Committee on Aging on May 1, 2010 at the NH State House in Concord.

Aynsley Place Activity Assistant, Antoinette Russell, Receives 2010 American Red Cross Community Hero Award
Nashua, NH - Aynsley Place, one of four Courville Communities, is pleased to announce that Antoinette Russell, an activity assistant for the assisted living facility, received a 2010 American Red Cross Community Hero Award. Russell received the Senior Hero award at a Red Cross award breakfast event held at the Crowne Plaza in Nashua. There were a total of seven awards in different community categories.



Aynsley Place Now Offering Adult Day Program
Nashua, NH - Aynsley Place, one of four Courville Communities, is offering a new service open to the general public. The Adult Day Program is designed to provide support to frail, physically or cognitively impaired adults and is available in half and full day rates.

Aynsley Place to Hold FREE Memory Screenings
Consumers who want a status check on their memory can take advantage of free, confidential screenings on November 17th as part of National Memory Screening Day, an annual initiative of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA) designed to promote proper detection of memory problems and strategies for successful aging.

On November 17, Aynsley Place will be conducting memory screenings at 80 Lake Street in Nashua from 8:30am till 3:30pm. Please call (603) 881-4190 to make your appointment today.



Courville at Manchester Receives Deficiency-Free Survey
The Courville at Manchester, one of four Courville Communities in southern New Hampshire, recently completed a deficiency-free state and federal survey with the NH Department of Health and Human Services.



Aynsley Place to Host National Candle Lighting Ceremony on November 15
Join Aynsley Place and other community members to light a candle in honor of all American's who have been or will be affected by Alzheimer's Disease. Candle lighting will take place at Sunday, November 15th at 4 pm.

A Tour of Parker's Maple Barn
Wednesday, March 25th, Carlyle Place residents will embark on a trip to Mason, NH, home of Parker's Maple Barn. A tour of the sugar shack will be offered alongside a free sampling of hot chocolate and pancakes with homemade maple syrup!

Residents Enjoy St. Patty's Day at Carlyle Place
Tuesday, March 17th, it's the St. Patrick's Day Social with Dan B. Residents will enjoy ontemporary guitar music and green beer!

Brunch with Aynsley Place
Sunday, February 22nd, Aynsley Place will be hosting its first brunch of the year. There will be an 11 a.m. seating and a 12 p.m. seating.

Aynsley Place to Hold Valentine's Day Dance
Saturday, February 14 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Aynsley Place residents will enjoy music by DJ Bob Dumais of Nashua.

Aynsley Place Participating in Seniors Feed NH
from February 2nd to March 13th, Aynsley Place will be holding raffles to raise money for NH food banks. In 2008, Seniors Feed NH raised over $42,000 and the goal for 2009 is to exceed this incredible amount.

Aynsley Place is pleased to announce that a recent bake sale held on November 13th raised $143.80. All funds were donated to the Alzheimer's Association.

Thank you to all who contributed to the cause to help find a cure for Alzheimer's.

Gloria Gagnon Jewelry Sale at Carlyle Place
Wednesday, December 3 Carlyle Place will host a Gloria Gagnon Jewelry Sale for residents, family and friends of the Courville Communities. The sale will take place from 2 to 5 p.m.

Courville at Nashua Accepts National Quality Award in Nashville, TN
Jason Smith, Administrator for The Courville at Nashua, visited Nashville, Tennessee on October 8th to accept the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living's (AHCA/NCAL) 2008 Quality Award, Step I. Smith accepted the award on behalf of the facility's staff for demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous quality improvement.



Carlyle Place is Collecting Items for Soldier Stockings
In cooperation with MooreMart, Carlyle Place is accepting donated items to be sent to soldiers in Afghanistan. Non-perishable items including Chapstick, sunscreen, white tube socks, granola bars, lollipops, gum and playing cards will be stuffed into stockings and mailed overseas.

To be mailed in time for the holidays, please drop off your items at Carlyle by November 11th. To see a complete list of recommended items, please visit www.mooremart.org or call Jenn Delker Montplaisir at 472-2000.

Aynsley Place Joins Carlyle Place in Stocking Collection
Aynsley Place will also be collecting items for soldiers overseas. All items, including cash donations, can be turned in at Aynsley Place throughout the month of November. For more information, please call Aynsley Place at 889-4190.

Candy Sale at Courville at Manchester
Friday, October 31st, The Courville at Manchester will hold a candy sale. All proceeds will benefit Toys for Tots. The Courville at Manchester is located at 44 West Webster Street in Manchester.

Carlyle Place Will Host Rock-A-Thon September 17th
Carlyle Place, a Courville Community located in Bedford, will be holding a Rock-a-Thon on Wednesday, September 17th. The event will raise money for the Southern NH Memory Walk to benefit the Alzheimer's Association on Saturday, September 20th.

Aynsley Place to Host "Maintain Your Brain" Workshop
Aynsley Place, a Courville Community, will sponsor a free workshop on Thursday, August 14 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This workshop is open to the public and refreshments will be served. Aynsley Place is located at 80 Lake Street in Nashua.



Author Mark Allen to Visit Courville at Nashua
Hopkinton resident Mark Allen, author of "Prague Symphony: A Requiem for the Cold War," will visit the Courville at Nashua to discuss his new book. The discussion will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24.



Courville Communities Host Next Caregiver Information Series Event
The Courville Communities are pleased to present the second of four events as part of the Caregiver Information Series on Sunday, June 8th.

Hosted by Nashua's Aynsley Place Administrator Susan Theodore and Bedford's Carlyle Place Activities Director Jenn Delker Montplaisir, a discussion titled, "Dementia and Alzheimer's - What's the Difference" will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Aynsley Place, 80 Lake Street in Nashua.



The Courville at Nashua Opens Pain Management Discussion to the Public
The Courville at Nashua is pleased to welcome Donald Simard, BS, R.Ph. for a discussion about Pain Management. The in-service will be open to the general public on Wednesday, May 21st at 2 p.m. at the skilled nursing facility, located at 22 Hunt Street in Nashua.



Caregiver Information Series Begins March 30
The Courville Communities are pleased to present the first of four events as part of the Caregiver Information Series. Hosted by Aynsley Place Administrator Susan Theodore and Carlyle Place Activities Director Jenn Delker Montplaisir, the series will begin on Sunday, March 30 with "Psychological Needs of the Elderly" at Carlyle Place from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.



Courville at Manchester Holding Easter Bake Sale
Courville at Manchester on West Webster Street will be holding an Easter Bake Sale on Friday, March 21st on behalf of Seniors Feed New Hampshire, a fundraising initative of the Coalition of Long Term Care Residents. All proceeds will be donated to the NH Food Bank in an effort to help eliminate a day of hunger in New Hampshire.



Aynsley Place Selling Raffle Tickets to Benefit NH Food Bank
Nashua's Aynsley Place is proud to be doing their part to help eliminate a day of hunger in New Hampshire.

The facility is selling raffle tickets on behalf of Seniors Feed New Hampshire, a project of the Coalition of Long Term Care Residents. All proceeds from raffle ticket sales will be awarded to the NH Food Bank.



Don't Miss the Easter Bunny at Carlyle Place!
Carlyle Place located on Route 101 in Bedford will host a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Photos with the Easter Bunny will be available for $5.00. All funds raised will benefit Seniors Feed New Hampshire, a project of the Coalition of Long Term Care Community Residents. Proceeds will be given to the New Hampshire Food Bank in an effort to eliminate a day of hunger in New Hampshire.



March 1 Brunch & Dancing Event Cancelled
Due to another pending snow storm, the decision has been made to cancel the Brunch and Dancing event planned for Saturday, March 1st at the Nashua Senior Center. The event has not been rescheduled at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience; please take care during the messy weather conditions.

Aynsley Place Postpones Brunch & Dancing Event
Due to a pending snow storm, the "Back to the Good Ol' Days" brunch and dance sponsored by Aynsley Place has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 1st from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Nashua Senior Center, 70 Temple Street.



Aynsley Place to Sponsor Brunch & Dancing Event - Feb. 23rd
Aynsley Place, a Courville Community, will sponsor a brunch and dancing event Saturday, February 23rd from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Nashua Senior Center located at 70 Temple Street, Nashua, NH. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held the following Saturday, March 1st.

Aynsley Place Administrator Susan Theodore Receives NHHCA Star Award
The Courville Communities' Susan Theodore, administrator for Aynsley Place in Nashua, recently received special recognition from the New Hampshire Health Care Association (NHHCA). A first-time recipient of the Star Award, Theodore received an official letter of congratulations from John Poirier, President of the NHHCA dated December 6.



NHHCA Workshop to Feature Courville's Jennifer Delker Monplaisir
The New Hampshire Health Care Association will host "A New Year: What's in Your Toolbox for the Year Ahead?" Held at their headquarters at 125 Airport Road in Concord on Wednesday, January 30, this workshop will feature Jennifer Delker Montplaisir, Activities Director for Carlyle Place, a Courville Community located in Bedford.



Aynsley Place to Sponsor Alzheimer's Commemorative Candle Lighting Ceremony
Aynsley Place, a Courville Community, is pleased to sponsor the Alzheimer's Commemorative Candle Lighting Ceremony at the Nashua Senior Activity Center on Thursday, November 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.



Residents Get Creative with an Art Show at Aynsley Place
Thursday, September 13, residents of Aynsley Place opened the halls to guests to enjoy personal art work created by the residents. Refreshments were served and residents had the opportunity to display their creative work for fellow residents, family and friends.

The Courville Communities Support MP Housing
The Courville Communities recently made an undisclosed donation to MP Housing, Inc., the permanent housing component of Marguerite's Place, through the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority's tax credit program.



"Life After 70: A Time to Create" - Special Presentation
Tuesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. Carlyle Place welcomed Mary Lou Fuller and Kay Amsden, authors of "Life After 70: A Time to Create."



Caryle Place Hosts Local Author
On Tuesday, May 29 Carlyle Place hosted Ed Brouder, co-author of "Manchester's Airport: Flying Through Time."



Red Sox Home Opener Celebrated
Tuesday, April 10 at 12:30 p.m. Caryle Place in Bedford hosted a Red Sox Home Opener Celebration. A baseball-themed luncheon was held, residents joined together to sing, "Take me out to the ballgame" and the Carlyle Dinner Theatre put on a production of "Who's on first?" Fungo, the NH Fisher Cats mascot, also made an appearance.

Caryle Place Executive Chef Receives Ice Carving Award
Executive Chef David Soha of Bedford's Carlyle Place "a Courville Community" received an award at Boston's Annual Winter Ice Carving Festival hosted by the Clarendon Group. The first place award was given to Soha and his carving partner, The Yard Restaurant's Executive Chef Dennis Hickey, citing the duo's creativity, execution of idea, and utilization of ice.



Carlyle Place Holds Second Annual Car Wash to Benefit the NH Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk
Thursday, July 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Carlyle Place hosted its Second Annual Car Wash to benefit the New Hampshire Alzheimer's Association (NHAA) Memory Walk. All proceeds were given to the NHAA as a contribution for the September Memory Walk.



Courville at Nashua Welcomes Smith as the Facility's New Administrator
The Courville Communities are pleased to welcome Jason Smith to The Courville at Nashua as the facility's new administrator. Located at 22 Hunt Street, The Courville at Nashua is a 24-hour skilled nursing and rehabilitative care facility and is one of the company's five privately owned long-term care facilities in southern New Hampshire.
