About Respite
The Courville at Manchester is pleased to offer a respite care program. Respite care is defined as the admission of a resident on either a planned or emergency basis, for a period not to exceed 21 days in order to relieve the primary caregiver from the demands of providing home-based care. If you are caring for a loved one, respite care may be an option if you need to take a short break to attend to other matters, travel for business or take a long-overdue vacation. Respite care is based on bed availability. Residents enjoying respite stays at our facilities enjoy all of the amenities and activities available to all of our residents.

About Long-Term Care
When you or your loved one(s) can no longer safely remain at home, either independently or with support, the conversation must shift to long-term care. The Courville at Manchester provides a caring environment in a health-care setting for our long-term care residents to call home. Long-term care residents receive constant and consistent care from our dedicated team of nurses, nurses’ assistants, therapists, social workers, activity director and more.
We have made it a priority to make the transition from home or other living arrangements into our long-term care facility stress-free. Our social workers will work with you prior to move-in to determine medical needs, cultural preferences, hobbies and interests and more. We encourage residents and their families to be involved in each individual’s care plan so that they may enjoy “life uninterrupted.” Our rooms are furnished but residents are invited to provide their own furnishings and touches of home if they prefer.
Our long-term care residents remain engaged in social activities designed to provide each individual resident with the right amount of daily recreational activity. The activity director and their staff plan activities and encourage involvement from all of our residents. Family members and friends are always welcome to take part in any of our activities. Physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy are also available as needed.
If you feel that you or your loved one is in need of, or may soon be in need of, long-term care we encourage you to contact us to tour our facility. We are happy to assist you in the planning stages for this transition and have information designed to help you make an informed decision that will also give you peace of mind. Back to the top.
About Short-Term Rehabilitation
Also referred to as Skilled Nursing, The Courville at Manchester offers one of the area’s top-performing rehabilitation stay facilities. When you or a loved one is recovering from surgery, an accident or an illness and are in need of therapy in order to regain strength, mobility, or both, a short-term rehabilitation stay is the best way to ensure you will be able to return home with the same level of independence you have always enjoyed.
During a rehabilitation stay, you can rest assured that you or your loved one is receiving 24-hour nursing support from our skilled and friendly staff, many of whom have been with The Courville Communities for over a decade.
The Rehabilitation Services at Courville specialize in one-on-one rehabilitative care for patients who require quality, personalized therapeutic services to help regain physical and emotional livelihood. An initial evaluation is performed upon admission and each therapy session works towards the end-goal established at the beginning of the stay. Wellness is most often achieved at a faster rate when the relationship between therapist and patient is strong, and built on trust and companionship. To help facilitate the road to recovery, Courville ensures that each patient works with the same therapist from start to finish.
Our rehabilitation stays provide outcome-oriented programs in the following disciplines:
- Nursing services
- Physical Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Additional services such as a dietician, wound care, mental health consultants, hospice consultants, dental care, podiatry, and recreational therapy services.
At The Courville of Manchester, we think of our rehabilitation as the place where healthcare, hospitality and luxury meet. As a short-term resident, you will enjoy all of the same amenities as our full-time residents, including 3 nutritional meals each day, social activities, in-house salon visits, and more. We invite you to take a tour on behalf of yourself or your loved one. Back to the top.
